With the support of the the Vietnam Belgium Friendship Association and the Belgian Embassy in Hanoi, VBA was established officially on 17.7.2009. The mission of the VBA is to foster the linkages among Vietnamese alumni, enrich their alumni experience, and facilitate alumni professional career development . VBA carries its mission through a variety of activities, ranging from social gatherings, professional knowledge-sharing through workshops and seminars, to bridging activities between alumni and Belgium through diverse channels (research institutes, universities, companies); promotion campaigns for education in Begium, counselling services for new students to Belgium, etc. VBA is presided by a Chairman and supported by an Executive Board. At the moment, VBA is operating in Hanoi with the strong support from the Belgian Embassy in Hanoi and also the Vietnam–Belgium Friendship Association. It plans to develop its branches in Ho Chi Minh City and possibly in other cities/provinces in 2012. VBA wishes to develop its memberships throughout the country in order to further strengthen the linkage of alumni and also enrich the database in this website. In this sense, we would like to encourage those who have studied or did research in Belgium, regardless of funding sources and duration of the training programs to join VBA and to benefit from its interesting activities. We also welcome all those of interests to visit the website and if possible support us to further enrich the website with latest information about Belgium as well as opportunities of collaboration.
